It is not an “invention” of an observer, it is an affirmation of the Doclisboa 2024 programmers themselves: “non-fiction” filmmakers are increasingly resorting to the techniques and weapons of fiction to talk about the world. With results that, in the festival’s Portuguese Competition, are much more interesting than the more traditional forms.
