We bring you all the information you need to know about Indian cricketers’ salaries for the 2024-25 season.
A centrally contracted Indian Cricket Team player is one of the highest-paid sportsperson in this sport. They are paid a large amount to represent the country at the highest level. And why not? The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the richest cricket body globally.
The BCCI announces central contracts every year and a total of 34 senior men’s cricketers are included in this season’s list, which is four more than compared to that of last year’s 30. The contracted players are divided into four different grades (A+, A, B, and C). An A+ grade includes the top-tier Indian cricketers Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja.
Though Virat and Rohit have retired from T20Is and tests, while Jadeja has retired from T20Is, the BCCI has kept them in the top-tier category. Apart from the annual grade fee, players also get match fees as per the formats. Here we will talk about centrally contracted players and their salaries for the 2024-25 season (October 1st, 2024, to September 30th, 2025).

Grade A+: INR 7 crores (4 Players)
Grade A: INR 5 crores (6 Players)
Grade B: INR 3 crores (5 Players)
Grade C: INR 1 crore (15 Players)
Per match fee as per formats
Test Match Fee: INR 15 lakhs | 7.5 lakhs if a member of squad and not included in Playing XI.
ODI Match Fee: INR 6 lakhs | 3 lakhs if a member of squad and not included in Playing XI.
T20I Match Fee: INR 3 lakhs | 1.5 lakhs if a member of squad and not included in Playing XI.
Here are the salaries of all 34 centrally contracted Indian cricketers for 2025:
34. Harshit Rana (Grade C) – INR 1 crore + match fees:
Delhi-born Pacer Harshit Rana made his debut for India across all three formats recently. He was part of India’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 winning squad. Harshit’s start to international cricket has been pretty good, which has helped him to get a Grade C contract worth INR 1 crore annually with an addition of a per-match fee.
33. Varun Chakaravarthy (Grade C) – INR 1 crore + match fees:
From getting dropped from the Indian team in 2021 to becoming India’s key spinner in white-ball cricket, Varun Chakaravarthy has taken giant steps in cricket. The 33-year-old has made a stunning comeback to the Indian side and is now a regular face in the white-ball setup. He played a crucial role in India’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 win. Hence, the BCCI has kept him in the Grade C category of INR 1 crore annually with match fees.
32. Akash Deep (Grade C) – INR 1 crore + match fees:
Over the last 12 months, many exciting pacers have knocked on the door of the Indian team. Akash Deep is certainly one of those. The 28-year-old made his test debut last year against England and has played a handful of matches. He is yet to make his white-ball debut, but the BCCI has kept him in the Grade C category of INR 1 crore annually excluding the match fee.
31. Abhishek Sharma (Grade C) – INR 1 crore + match fees:

Abhishek Sharma announced himself in international cricket with a bang. He has already scored two T20I centuries and currently has the best T20I strike rate for players with a minimum of 250 balls faced. He has become an integral part of India’s new-look T20I side and has earned his maiden contract, featuring in Grade C of INR 1 crore annually.
30. Ishan Kishan (Grade C) – INR 1 crore + match fees
After getting dropped from the central contracts last season, Ishan Kishan has been added by the BCCI once again. The left-hander played his last international match in November 2023. He is in Grade C with INR 1 crore annually with a per-match fee.
29. Nitish Kumar Reddy (Grade C) – INR 1 crore + match fees:
Star Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy made his test and T20I debut for India in 2024. He has shown promising signs of being a consistent match-winner, and Indian management is looking to groom him. Hence, he has been included in the Grade C category of INR 1 crore annually and will also earn a per-match fee.
28. Sarfaraz Khan – INR 1 crore + match fees:
After a lot of hard work and grinding at the domestic level, Sarfaraz Khan made his test debut for India in February 2024. He had a pretty good start to his test career and is among the backup players for India. He is now included in the Grade C category of INR 1 crore annually and will also earn a per-match fee.
27. Dhruv Jurel – INR 1 crore + match fees:
Dhruv Jurel is one of the most talented Indian wicket-keeper batters in the Indian circuit. From the IPL to the Indian test team, Jurel has always been a key player to watch out for. He has already made his test and T20I debut for India and has now earned his maiden contract of the Grade C category of INR 1 crore annually with a per-match fee.
26. Rajat Patidar – INR 1 crore + match fees:
Rajat Patidar had a tough start to his international career. He has so far played three tests and one ODI and has scored 85 runs. He has not played an international game since February 2024 but has retained his place in the central contracts. He is in the Grade C category of INR 1 crore annually and will also earn a per-match fee.
25. Prasidh Krishna – INR 1 crore + match fees
Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna has also retained his place in the BCCI’s central contract for the senior men’s cricket team. He was in Grade C and will continue in this category for the ongoing season as well. Prasidh has played all three formats for India.
24. Arshdeep Singh (Grade C) – INR 1 crore + match fees:

India’s highest wicket-taker in T20I cricket, Arshdeep Singh, has retained his place in the BCCI’s new central contracts. Just like last season, he is in Grade C and will get 1 crore annually with a per-match fee. Arshdeep has been India’s go-to bowler for India in T20Is and might soon be playing test cricket.
23. Sanju Samson – INR 1 crore + match fees:
Sanju Samson is probably one of the biggest names in the Grade C category for the 2024-25 season. After some early struggles, it seems like Samson has become a permanent member of the Indian side in T20Is and was India’s highest scorer in 2024 in this format. That helped him to retain his place in the central contracts.
22. Mukesh Kumar – INR 1 crore + match fees:
Indian pacer Mukesh Kumar is another bowler who got retained in the central contracts. Just like last season, he is in Grade C and will earn INR 1 crore annually with a per-match fee. Mukesh played his last international game in July 2024, but he is still among India’s backup pacers across formats.
21. Washington Sundar – INR 1 crore + match fees:
Washington Sundar has also been retained in Grade C, just like the last season. Sundar’s struggle from injury has forced him to miss some games, but he has performed pretty well in the chances he has gotten in the last year or so. Ashwin’s test retirement has made way for him, and he is seen as an all-format prospect for India.
20. Ravi Bishnoi – INR 1 crore + match fees
With Team India focusing on young players for T20Is, Ravi Bishnoi has become an integral part of the T20I setup now. He has been performing consistently and was the No. 1 ranked T20I bowler at one time. That is why he has retained his position in the Grade C category of INR 1 crore annually and will also earn a per-match fee.
19. Shivam Dube (Grade C) – INR 1 crore + match fees:
Shivam Dube played a key role in India’s ICC T20 World Cup 2024 winning campaign, and his cameo in the final helped India post a challenging total against South Africa. The all-rounder has been a regular member of the Indian T20I side and has been retained in the Grade C category of INR 1 crore annually, and will also earn a per-match fee.
18. Ruturaj Gaikwad (Grade C) – INR 1 crore + match fees:
Ruturaj Gaikwad is among the Indian crop of talented batters who have already proved their match-winning skills. Though with so much competition for the spot in the top order for India, Gaikwad has failed to make his way. He played his last international match in July 2024 and has retained his position in the Grade C category.
17. Tilak Verma (Grade C) – INR 1 crore + match fees:
Tilak Verma is another upcoming Indian star who has already shown promising signs in T20Is. He is one of the few players to have scored consecutive T20I centuries. The left-hander has played T20Is and ODIs for India. He is back again in the Grade C category of INR 1 crore annually and will also earn a per-match fee.
16. Rinku Singh (Grade C) – INR 1 crore + match fees:
Rinku Singh is India’s trusted finisher in T20Is and is a regular face in this format now. He regularly features in India’s T20I team, and just like last season, he is part of Grade C and will earn INR 1 crore annually with an additional per-match fee.
15. Shreyas Iyer (Grade B) – INR 3 crores + match fees:

Shreyas Iyer is back in India’s central contracts and has been added to Grade B. He will be earning INR 3 crores annually, excluding match fees. Iyer has been incredible for India in the last year or so. He has achieved a lot in his cricketing career. From winning the IPL 2024 with KKR to taking PBKS to their first final since 2014 last season, and not to forget, he was India’s highest scorer in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
14. Yashasvi Jaiswal (Grade B) – INR 3 crores + match fees:

Yashasvi Jaiswal has become India’s key performer with the bat at the top in T20Is and tests. After Rohit and Virat retired from tests, Jaiswal is now looked at as the one to take the Indian batting forward. He has been phenomenal with his performance, which has helped him get retained in Grade B, earning INR 3 crores annually with a per-match fee.
13. Axar Patel (Grade B) – INR 3 crores + match fees:
Be it T20I or ODI, Axar Patel has been India’s top performer in the last year or so. From the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, he has played a vital role in helping India win these ICC titles. Hence, the BCCI has retained him in Grade B at INR 3 crores annually with a per-match fee.
12. Kuldeep Yadav (Grade B) – INR 3 crores + match fees:
Kuldeep Yadav is India’s top spinner in white-ball cricket and has been a key part of the test side as well. The wrist spinner has made stunning growth in the last couple of years and is among the best spinners in the world. He is once again in Grade B at INR 3 crores annually with a per-match fee.
11. Suryakumar Yadav (Grade B) – INR 3 crores + match fees:

India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav features in Grade B, earning INR 3 crores and match fees. It can surprise many that the captain of the Indian national T20I side is not in Grade A, but Suryakumar hasn’t had much impact in other formats. That is one of the reasons for him being kept in Grade B.
10. Rishabh Pant (Grade A) – INR 5 crores + match fees:

India’s test vice-captain Rishabh Pant has made a jump from Grade B to Grade A this season. He had many ups and downs in the last year or so, but he made his comeback to cricket in a pretty good manner. And now, with seniors getting retired, he is the one to look to for the future for the leadership role.
9. Mohammed Shami (Grade A) – INR 5 crores + match fees:
Indian key pacer Mohammed Shami is in Grade A, just like last season. Despite him playing much less cricket in the last year due to multiple injuries and fitness concerns, he has retained his place in this category. Shami was part of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and will be a key player for India across formats once he gets fit.
8. Hardik Pandya (Grade A) – INR 5 crores + match fees:
India’s MVP in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Hardik Pandya, is probably among the most impactful performers in white-ball cricket. He has worked well on his body and has been performing with bat and ball both. Just like last season, Hardik is in the Grade A category with an annual fee of INR 5 crore with a per-match fee.
7. Shubman Gill (Grade A) – INR 5 crores + match fees:

India’s new test captain, Shubman Gill, is among the frontrunners to lead the team in the future. He is India’s all-format performer and has done it consistently. He was in Grade A last season, and this season as well, he is in the same grade. With the retirement of Rohit and Virat, Gill will have a major role going ahead.
6. KL Rahul (Grade A) – INR 5 crores + match fees:

KL Rahul has retained his spot in in Grade A from the last season’s contracts. He has been pretty solid in the last year and had an impactful performance in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He is now the senior in the team after the retirement of Virat and Rohit from test cricket.
5. Mohammed Siraj (Grade A) – INR 5 crores + match fees:
Mohammed Siraj is India’s key player across all three formats. With Mohammed Shami getting sidelined due to multiple injuries and fitness concerns, Siraj has been the support bowler to Bumrah for major series and tournaments. Siraj has had pretty good numbers, and he is in Grade A of the BCCI central contracts.
4. Ravindra Jadeja (Grade A+) – INR 7 crores + match fees:
Ravindra Jadeja is someone who is always on India’s team sheet across formats. Jadeja has retired from T20Is, but his impact in the other two formats is massive. That is why the BCCI has kept the senior all-rounder in the Grade A+ category, where he will earn INR 7 crore annually with a per-match fee.
3. Jasprit Bumrah (Grade A+) – INR 7 crores + match fees:

Not just for India, Jasprit Bumrah is among the top cricketers in modern-day cricket at the international level. He has been phenomenal for India across formats, and his impact on the game is unparalleled. Bumrah is India’s top cricketer and is in the top-tier category of Grade A+.
2. Virat Kohli (Grade A+) – INR 7 crores + match fees:

Despite retiring from tests and T20Is, Virat Kohli has been retained in the Grade A+ category, which shows his worth. He is still among the top cricketers across the globe and is certainly the face of Indian cricket, who has served for more than 15 years now. Virat is part of the Grade A+ category.
1. Rohit Sharma (Grade A+) – INR 7 crores + match fees:

Rohit Sharma has helped India win two ICC titles in the last 12 months. Though he has retired from two formats, his stature in Indian cricket is massive. He is still India’s captain in ODIs and has been retained in the Grade A+ category by the BCCI, where he will earn INR 7 crores, excluding match fees.
