Agatha All Along Episode 6 Recap: Evan Peters' MCU Return & 7 Other Reveals

Warning! This article contains spoilers for Agatha All Along episode 6

Agatha All Along episode 6 dives into Billy Maximoff’s MCU backstory and brings back Evan Peters’ breakout WandaVision character Ralph Bohner a.k.a. Fake Pietro. Agatha All Along episode 5’s ending revealed that Joe Locke’s mysterious Teen character is actually Billy Maximoff a.k.a. Wiccan — the Scarlet Witch’s reincarnated son. As episode 5 suggests, Agatha Harkness already suspected Billy’s true identity, but she only confirmed her suspicions when she realized that her son Nicholas Scratch was still dead and Billy used magic spells similar to Wanda Maximoff’s.

Following Billy’s identity reveal, Agatha All Along takes a break from the Witches’ Road’s trials to explore Billy’s story. Meanwhile, Agatha Harkness recovers from being sent into a swamp, while the remaining witches in Agatha’s coven remain absent. At this point, Agatha and Billy must leave their differences aside in order to complete the Witches’ Road. Curiously, though, Agatha All Along episode 6’s plot shows Agatha Harkness under a different light, as Billy’s point of view underlines how Agatha played a key role in Wanda, Vision, Tommy, and the original Billy Maximoff’s deaths before Wanda condemned her to Westview.

Lilia Calderu Cast The Sigil Spell On William Kaplan/Billy Maximoff

William Kaplan Met Lilia Calderu Shortly Before His Death

Agatha All Along episode 6 introduces William Kaplan during his bar mitzvah, where he takes a break from the party to have a consultation with a foreteller. This foreteller happens to be Lilia Calderu, who senses something special in William. Lilia reads William’s hand and sees that his lifeline is broken in two. She also receives a vision of “the Tower Reversed” and creates a small amulet with a snake symbol. Then, Lilia places this amulet in William’s coat and has it delivered to him after he leaves.

Possible meanings for the
“reversed Tower”
tarot card include personal transformation, inevitable change, and a warning of an imminent crisis.

William’s death and Billy Maximoff’s reincarnation reveal that Lilia’s reading of his hands was accurate. William’s life splits into two parts as he dies and Billy Maximoff takes over his body. Agatha All Along episode 6 also suggests that Lilia’s hand-painted amulet is what symbolizes Billy’s Sigil spell, as Billy crushes it once Agatha finds out his real identity. Lilia’s trance and the Sigil spell may have prevented her from fully remembering Billy when he and Agatha come to recruit her later on.

William Kaplan Dies In A Car Crash And Becomes Billy Maximoff

Wiccan’s MCU Origin Is Quite Similar To The Comics

The biggest reveal in Agatha All Along episode 6 may be Billy’s origin story. According to episode 6, William Kaplan was celebrating his bar mitzvah in Eastview when Wanda Maximoff’s Westview hex collapsed. William managed to escape with his parents, but the ensuing chaos caused his parent’s car to swerve and crash. William’s parents survived the accident, but William didn’t make it. William apparently survived, according to the doctors, but his body actually served as a vessel for Billy Maximoff’s spirit. As a result, Billy had to start a new life in William’s body.

Agatha All Along: Every Clue Marvel Hid To Teen’s Real Identity

Agatha All Along episode 5 has finally revealed the real identity of Joe Locke’s “Teen,” paying off many clues from the MCU series’ previous episodes.

Billy’s origin story as depicted in Agatha All Along episode 6 follows the same beats as the source material, barring WandaVision‘s Westview hex, which is original to the MCU. After his rebirth, Billy doesn’t have memories of William Kaplan’s life, but he also struggles to remember his brief life as Billy Maximoff in Wanda’s Westview illusion. Although Billy’s spirit was reincarnated with similar magical talents to his original self, he still had to do a great deal of studying and researching in order to bring out his Wiccan powers in Agatha All Along episode 5.

Alice Wu-Gulliver Was A Cop At The Scene Of William’s Accident

Alice Wu-Gulliver Was At The Scene Of Wanda Maximoff’s Westview Disaster

Agatha All Along‘s flashbacks to Billy’s origin reveal that William Kaplan had already crossed paths with all three of the witches in Agatha Harkness’ new coven. William got a hand reading from Lilia Calderu during his bar mitzvah and frequented Jennifer Kale’s skincare-themed YouTube channel. Right after William died, Alice Wu-Gulliver arrived at the crime scene to investigate, as she was a member of the Eastview police department at the time.

New Agatha All Along Theory Reveals The True Power Of Joe Locke’s Teen, & Why He’s Only Now Revealing How Dangerous He Really Is

Joe Locke’s Teen is at a turning point after Agatha All Along episode 5, seemingly unleashing an awesome power that has been subdued until now.

Billy’s first encounter with Alice Wu-Gulliver flips their last moments together. Alice died in Agatha All Along episode 5 after she cast a spell to remove Evanora Harkness’ ghost from Agatha’s body, which led Agatha to syphon all of Alice’s magic and life force. Hence, Alice witnessed William Kaplan’s death, and a reincarnated Billy Maximoff witnessed Alice’s death at the hands of Agatha.

Evan Peters Returns As Ralph Bohner And Tells Billy About His WandaVision Experience

Evan Peters’ Ralph Bohner Returns As An Informant To Billy

Before venturing down the Witches’ Road, Billy set out to investigate Agatha Harkness’ identity and the Westview incident. During his research, Billy comes across a mysterious Redditor who lived in Westview during the hex, called Bohnerrific69. This Redditor turns out to be Ralph Bohner — the Westview resident who became Agatha Harkness’ puppet inside the Westview Hex. Ralph Bohner explains his experience to Billy, recounting how Agatha mind-controlled him and turned him into a Pietro Maximoff impostor in order to manipulate Wanda.

Peters’ Ralph Bohner makes it clear that he was a regular Westview resident before the incident

Although Evan Peters played Quicksilver in Fox’s X-Men movie franchise before he played the Pietro Maximoff impostor in WandaVision, Agatha All Along doesn’t acknowledge Quicksilver’s X-Men variant in any way. Instead, Peters’ Ralph Bohner makes it clear that he was a regular Westview resident before the incident, and also explains how deeply it has affected him emotionally. Ralph’s insight helps Billy confirm that Agatha is the witch he needs to find.

Agatha Was Part Of A Few Historical Events Between 1693 And 2025

Agatha Harkness Kept Bust Between Her Punishment At The Stake And Her Fight With Scarlet Witch

While investigating Agatha Harkness’ identity, Billy looks up her name in the MCU’s fictional version of Google, Looky. At first, Billy is unable to find any results for Agatha, but as he dives deeper, he discovers that Agatha was present in a few historical events. For instance, Agatha appears in a black-and-white picture of the 1937 Hindenburg disaster, and Billy finds an article that suggests Agatha is the titular woman in Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” song, written in 1973.

Loki
season 1 revealed that Loki was the one behind the legendary D.B. Cooper mystery, which came from a bet he lost to Thor.

WandaVision‘s flashbacks to Agatha Harkness’ origin revealed that she was sent to the stake by her own mother and her coven during the Salem Witch Trials in 1693. After killing her fellow witches, Agatha escaped and seemingly kept a low profile while studying the dark arts until she acquired the Darkhold and discovered that Wanda Maximoff was the Scarlet Witch. Now, Agatha All Along episode 6 reveals that Agatha kept busy under various identities in the meantime.

Billy Helped Agatha Break Out Of Wanda’s Spell Using Agatha’s Amulet

Billy’s Self-Acquired Magical Knowledge Allowed Him To Break Wanda Maximoff’s Spell On Agatha

Agatha All Along episode 5 also provides flashbacks to previous episodes, namely episode 1, where Agatha Harkness broke out of Wanda Maximoff’s spell and realized that she wasn’t a seasoned detective, but an evil witch with a dark past. When Billy broke into Agatha’s home in Westview, he grabbed her locket and recited an incantation that interfered with Wanda’s spell. Although Agatha caught Billy and questioned him in her detective persona, the illusion started to break. From Billy’s perspective, Agatha’s home was always the same.

Agatha was bound to break out of the illusion sooner or later, as Rio Vidal had been visiting her before Billy arrived

Billy enhanced his natural talent for magic with his exhaustive research, which allowed him to discover Agatha’s true identity and help her neutralize the spell Wanda cast on her at the end of WandaVision. However, Agatha was bound to break out of the illusion sooner or later, as Rio Vidal had been visiting her before Billy arrived. Rio was playing into Agatha’s illusion, but she was ready to fight as soon as Agatha realized the truth.

Billy And Agatha Believe Billy Killed Lilia And Jen

Lilia Calderu And Jennifer Kale Are Absent In Agatha All Along Episode 6 After Billy Threw Them Into A Swamp

After Billy unleashed his magical powers and mind-controlled the coven to send them into a swamp, Agatha Harkness is the only witch to make it out alive. She comes out of the swamp and reunites with Billy, confronting him for keeping his real identity and goals a secret from her. Agatha reminds Billy that his tantrum probably led to Lilia Calderu and Jennifer Kale’s deaths, but shrugs it off and suggests moving on. However, Agatha also advises Billy not to be guilty about his talent and recognizes his efforts to rebuild his life after reincarnating.

Lilia is the only member of the coven that hasn’t completed her own trial in the Road

Although Lilia Calderu and Jennfier Kale seem to have drowned in the swamp, they must still be alive somewhere in the Witches’ Road. After all, trailers for Agatha All Along‘s upcoming episodes have included footage of the two witches that hasn’t appeared in the show yet, and Lilia is the only member of the coven that hasn’t completed her own trial in the Road. Lilia and Jen are likely to reappear in Agatha All Along episode 6, where Lilia’s visions may finally make sense.

Billy Believes A Reincarnated Tommy Maximoff Is Somewhere In The MCU

Billy’s Twin Brother Tommy Maximoff May Have Also Reincarnated

When Agatha confronts Billy after coming out of the swamp, she questions him about his motivations to venture down the Witches’ Road. She torments Billy about Wanda and Vision’s deaths before guessing that instead of acquiring power, he wants to find “Toby” at the end of the Road. Billy corrects her, saying that he’s in fact trying to find his twin brother, Tommy Maximoff. Billy believes Tommy is “out there somewhere”, as he can sense his brother, but can’t pinpoint his exact location.

Why WandaVision’s Billy Maximoff Actor Didn’t Return For Agatha All Along

Billy Maximoff’s Wiccan returned to the MCU in Agatha All Along, but he is no longer played by Julian Hilliard, who debuted the role in WandaVision.

In the comics, Tommy Maximoff also reincarnates in the body of an existing teenager — Thomas Shepherd, who constantly gets in trouble due to his speed-based powers. In the meantime, Iron Lad recruits Billy into the Young Avengers, and the team travels to the detention facility where Tommy is imprisoned. Billy and Tommy realize they look like identical twins as soon as they meet, and Billy’s Skrull-Kree boyfriend Hulkling confirms that Billy and Tommy are in fact reincarnated twins. Agatha All Along and the MCU’s Young Avengers adaptation may soon adapt Tommy’s comic story accurately.
