Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are bracing for one of the most expensive showbiz divorces at all time as the $550million couple end the marriage they hastily entered into without a prenuptial agreement.
Lopez, 55, filed for divorce from Affleck in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday following months of speculation swirling around their relationship.
The actor-director, 52, and singer-actress eloped at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022. The couple again exchanged vows at Affleck’s estate outside of Savannah, Georgia on August 20 that year.
J-Lo filed the divorce documents on the two-year anniversary of their Georgia nuptials, but listed their separation date as April 26, 2024.
The couple’s cumulative wealth is worth an estimated $550million, with Lopez’s assets accounting for $400million of their wealth treasure chest. Affleck is reportedly worth an estimated $150million.
The pair – who according to TMZ insiders have ‘no prenuptial agreement’ – could now be forced to equally split their earnings from the last two years due to California’s community property law, which states any income or assets acquired during a marriage belongs to both spouses equally.
Last month, it was reported Lopez had been ‘gearing up for a messy divorce’ and that she was aiming at acquiring half of the $150million Affleck owns. Insiders claimed she paid many expenses during their marriage and that Affleck often ‘grumbled about spending money.’ She also allegedly felt he ‘mooched’ off of her wealth
In the court docs filed this week, Lopez also indicated she was waiving spousal support and requested the court not give Affleck any either.
DailyMail.com takes a look at the millions the couple have made – and will have to share – throughout their short-lived marriage, from film projects, house sales, luxury car purchases, brand deals and everything in between.

How will they split their millions?
Affleck and Lopez have both made millions over the course of their decades-long careers from entertainment projects, investments, branding deals and more.
The actor has invested in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, launched his own production firm and worked on more than 100 films and TV shows, amassing a net worth of $150million.
While Lopez’s film and music credits, together with her beauty business, investments and brand ambassador deals have earned her even more, totaling $400million.
The couple continued to rake in loads of cash over the last years, but they could be legally obliged to split the millions they acquired during their marriage 50/50 – which includes their properties, cars and overall earnings – due to California’s community property law.
Lopez allegedly earns about $40million annually, Cosmopolitan reports, but this total may vary based on the number of projects she takes on each year.
Affleck’s annual salary, like his estranged wife’s, likely differs from year-to-year, but in 2020 the actor amassed $55million, earning him a spot on Forbes’ Celebrity 100 Earnings List.
This means that the pair could receive $95million each, an equal split of the $190million in wages jointly earned over the course of their union.
The soon-to-be exes may be forced to split $104.5million of the properties they’ve bought and profits they’ve made from sales since 2022.

Funds from the sale of his Affleck’s Pacific Palisades bachelor pad (pictured) – which he picked up in 2018 for $19million – could also potentially be up for grabs since he sold the home for $28.5million in October 2022, just months after he and Lopez wed

The couple have sold a total of three properties since they wed. The actor sold his $28.5million bachelor pad. J-Lo offloaded her New York City penthouse and her Bel Air Mansion during their union for an estimated $25million and $34million, respectively.
Lopez and Affleck also purchased a total of $998,330 worth of luxury cars throughout their union, most of which are owned by the actress.
She acquired a Ashton Martin DB7, BMW X6, Ferrari 488 GTB and a Lamborghini Urus in the last two years, while Affleck only obtained a Tesla Model S Plaid and a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Lambocars.com reported.
This means they could each be entitled to just shy of $500million for vehicles alone.
Both entertainers have worked steadily in the two years they have been wed, earning income for various streams.
Lopez, according to Marca, is paid roughly $10million per film she works on and was involved in five projects in the last two years.
Affleck earns approximately $15million per movie he works on, Cosmopolitan reported, and was credited on six projects since 2022.
This means the pair could be looking at evenly splitting at least $140million in film-related income.
This is not including two on-going joint ventures that are clearly complicated by Tuesday’s divorce filing – a musical adaptation of Kiss of the Spider Woman and Unstoppable, both of which Affleck and Lopez are working on.
The former couple also are also involved in various business and investment ventures that likely yielded some income throughout their union.
