The arena is one of the biggest aspects of Cookie Run: Kingdom. In it, players want to rank up as they can in order to reap the biggest amount of rewards at the end of a season. In order to succeed in this game mode, you need to build the best team you can, which requires a careful selection of cookies.
Though you may be inclined to use your favorite cookies, some are simply superior when it comes to PVP. To get a high ranking, you will need some meta cookies on your team. So, which cookies are the best to use in the arena?
10
Icicle Yeti Cookie
A Frontline Healer
Icicle Yeti Cookie is a truly unique healer in Cookie Run: Kingdom. Unlike the majority of healers who prioritize the backline position, Icicle Yeti Cookie defaults to the front of the team. Their skill heals their allied cookies periodically. It also improves their damage resistance, freeze resistance, and amplifies their buffs. When they use their skill, they transform into their yeti form, granting their team a shield of ice, which absorbs 30% of the damage they receive. They grant considerable extra healing to ice-type cookies, meaning they’re good to pair with characters such as Frost Queen Cookie.

Can You Change Servers In Cookie Run: Kingdom?
Cookie Run: Kingdom has several servers to choose from, but once you pick a server are you stuck with it forever? And which server is best?
Icicle Yeti is a safeguarded cookie, meaning they will completely bypass any damage, and will only be defeated when the rest of the team have fallen. They can appear to take damage when they turn into their yeti form, but their actual HP cannot be reduced, and they cannot be defeated by receiving damage. They can also deal a small portion of damage, returning 5% of the damage inflicted onto their yeti form back onto the enemy team as an ice-type attack.

(Awakened) Dragon Lord Dark Cacao Cookie
The Second-Best Tank Option
With the release of the beast cookies and powerful legendaries in Cookie Run: Kingdom, the ancients have become obsolete in the arena, and can even be topped by certain epic and super-epic cookies. However, since the ancient cookies have been able to receive further upgrades through being “awakened,” they’re now back in the Cookie Run: Kingdom meta. The first ancient cookie to receive an awakened form was Dark Cacao Cookie, and with this new upgrade, he deals a significant amount of dark-type damage, and boosts the power of other charge and dark-type cookies.
Awakened Dark Cacao Cookie succeeds when paired with another powerful charge cookie. In the arena, the best choice for this is Burning Spice Cookie. Since he’s the only meta cookie in the arena that deals darkness damage, the boosts he grants to dark-type cookies tend to only benefit him, meaning he’s not the best option for a team leader. However, if you don’t have Burning Spice Cookie or need a space filled on your team, then Dragon Lord Dark Cacao is a solid option.

Mystic Flour Cookie
Continues To Heal The Team Even After Her Defeat
Mystic Flour Cookie is an extremely powerful healer, and any team containing her will be exceptionally hard to take down. She is able to continually support the team even after she is defeated due to her “Lantern of Apathy” skill. Similarly to Peach Blossom Cookie, she cannot be inflicted with the Apathy effect, making her very useful in her Beast-Yeast episodes.
The only thing that places Mystic Flour Cookie so low on the list is how easily she can be replaced. With Pure Vanilla receiving an awakened form, and many players opting to use a support or healer cookie from the special rarity due to the four-cookie limit on ancients, beasts, dragons and legendaries, she’s currently not the most efficient pick. Though if you don’t have Pure Vanilla awakened, then you should definitely consider adding Mystic Flour to the team.
7
Snapdragon Cookie
A Reliable Buffer Who Can’t Be Defeated In Battle
Snapdragon cookie is a support cookie of the special rarity. Like Icicle Yeti Cookie, they are a safeguarded cookie, and are unable to take damage. They are a heavy buffer, providing the team with stun resistance, debuff resistance, damage resistance, an HP shield, and periodic healing upon using their skill.

“JUST MAKE IT GO DIAGONAL”: The Latest Cookie Run Kingdom Secret Garden Event Has Fans Fuming
Cookie Run: Kingdom has a new Secret Garden event to take part in, but apparently, all is not as sweet as it appears.
Though Snapdragon Cookie is not actually of the dragon rarity themselves, if entering battle with a dragon cookie, that character will receive a buff of 15% to their max HP. Currently, the only dragon available in the game is Pitaya Dragon Cookie, who has long fallen out of the meta. However, players can expect the upcoming dragon cookies to be very powerful, meaning Snapdragon Cookie is likely to become commonplace in the future.

(Awakened) Immortal Golden Cheese Cookie
A Powerful Attacker Who You Can Rarely Go Wrong With
Immortal Golden Cheese Cookie delivers hard-hitting attacks whilst debuffing her enemies and providing several bonuses to her team. She works especially well with cookies that deal earth damage, but is in a similar predicament to Dark Cacao where she is the only meta cookie of that element. When using her skill, she throws a number of spears at her enemies, starting with eight – but gains more for each opponent she defeats. When hit by a spear, enemies will receive a debuff which makes them more susceptible to earth damage, as well as a decreased critical hit chance and damage threshold.
Awakened Golden Cheese boosts the attacks of other ranged cookies, and will increase the max HP of earth-type cookies by 25% when selected as team leader. Though there currently aren’t any other highly recommended earth-type cookies, pairing her with another ranged cookie – Wind Archer – is a lethal combination.
Upon using her skill, she will target the opponent with the lowest HP, preventing them from healing for five seconds, and applying “curse” for 20 seconds, which stops them from receiving buffs. Her attack will deal damage to the target, as well as those around them. In her regular form, she will retreat into her “golden sarcophagus” when she loses all of her HP for the first time, shielding her from most damage. When awakened, this becomes the “Dome of gold,” which absorbs damage dealt to the entire team, not just herself.
5
Elder Faerie Cookie
A Surprising Addition To The Meta Of Cookie Run: Kingdom
Elder Faerie is a defense cookie who can deal damage, taunt enemies and remove debuffs applied to himself. When he is affected by a debuff, his damage resistance will increase, making him very tricky to get past. His skill also allows him to reduce the amount of healing opponents receive, making him particularly effective for countering teams with Mystic Flour.
White Lily Cookie doesn’t have an awakened form, so she doesn’t have a place in the meta. However, if she ever does receive one and earns her place back within the standard arena teams, then Elder Faerie Cookie will be a good choice to pair with her.
He has multiple methods of protecting the other cookies in his team, granting them with HP shields and a further damage resistance buff to himself and the two cookies with the highest attack. These are often cookies with lower defense, making him an excellent addition to any balanced team. If White Lily Cookie is on the team, then she will be prioritized as one of the cookies given the damage resist buff, even if she isn’t one of the stronger cookies on the team.
4
Burning Spice Cookie
The Best Cookie To Put On The Frontline
Burning Spice Cookie is currently the best charge cookie and possibly the best front-liner in Cookie Run: Kingdom. He can tank attacks very well, but can also deal massive amounts of damage. His “Tyrant’s Wrath” ability allows him to temporarily transform into his inner god of destruction, dispelling and becoming immune to all debuffs and absorbing the attack stat of the three allied cookies with the highest attack ability.

When defeated, Burning Spice Cookie momentarily becomes immortal for six seconds, which can be what stops you from losing an arena match. His attacks inflict stacks of the “burn” effect, which deals periodic damage. A burn debuff can be removed after the affected target has been hit with certain water-type attacks, but water-type cookies such as Sea Fairy and Peppermint Cookie are hard to come by in the arena.
3
Wind Archer Cookie
An Arena Terror
Wind Archer Cookie is a must-have for those who want to succeed in the arena – even at a lower level, he is able to completely decimate enemies, and in the right circumstances could likely defeat any other cookie on this list. He is another cookie with a transformation ability, and when transformed, is immune to all debuffs except curse. When attacking, he fires five arrows directed at the enemies with the highest attacks, and can stun them for 2.5 seconds.
After being hit by Wind Archer, his opponents are inflicted with “Pursuer” debuffs. Three stacks of the Pursuer effect will cause the target to lose a large amount of their health in proportion to their max HP – otherwise known as “true damage.” As Wind Archer Cookie fires more arrows, he also gains stacks of the “mighty gale” effect, which allows him to bypass a certain amount of damage resistance depending on the number of stacks.
2
Shadow Milk Cookie
The Sturdiest Magic Cookie
Shadow Milk is the best magic cookie, and may be the strongest cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom. His skill deals a large amount of true damage, and focuses on the opponent with the lowest health, as well as damaging those around them. However, an opposing Shadow Milk Cookie cannot become the target of this attack with other allied cookies still standing. If the targeted enemy survives his attack, they will receive the “taint” effect, which lowers the effects of buffs and increases the effect of debuffs.

Shadow Milk Cookie Might Have Already Changed Cookie Run: Kingdom Forever
Shadow Milk Cookie is the newest beast in Cookie Run: Kingdom. Why is he so popular, and what has his impact been on the game?
Despite being a middle-line magic cookie, Shadow Milk Cookie has exceptional durability. When using his skill, he gains an HP shield and damage resistance buff. If the opponent does manage to kill him, then he will retreat into his “Shadow form,” purifying himself of all debuffs, and completely restoring his health over four seconds. In this form, he gets further buffs to his max HP and damage resistance.
Every time Shadow Milk Cookie uses his skill, he gains a stack of “truth.” For every four stacks of this, all debuffs will be removed from his team, and the damage he deals will increase by 21.5%. He’ll also receive another HP shield which lasts for up to 15 seconds, making him even harder to kill. He will be granted even further buffs if the other members of the “Deceitful Trio” — Candy Apple and Black Sapphire Cookie — are present with him on the battlefield.
1
(Awakened) Compassionate Pure Vanilla Cookie
Fittingly, The Best Cookie To Counter Shadow Milk’s Attacks
Awakened Pure Vanilla Cookie is the newest addition to the awakened ancients, and is the best team leader to use in the arena in Cookie Run: Kingdom. Unlike the other ancient team leaders, his rally effect benefits the entire team regardless of their elements. He also provides the team with damage resistance at the start of battle, which I’ve found to be extremely useful against other teams containing Shadow Milk Cookie, who starts battles with a 1-2-second cooldown depending on what toppings or beascuit stats he has equipped.
If Awakened Pure Vanilla is the only healing cookie in the rear, he will grant the team resistance to cooldown debuffs and immunity to silence.
With the new update, Compassionate Pure Vanilla Cookie has quickly replaced Mystic Flour as the best healer cookie. On top of healing periodically, when using his ability, he fully heals the team, then provides them with an HP shield. Afterward, he summons shards of light which heal his allies and damage his enemies — similarly to Candy Apple Cookie’s skill, but heavily amplified.
What makes awakened Pure Vanilla Cookie the best healer in the game is his ability to revive fallen cookies. This stacks with the Sugar Swan feather, meaning cookies can be revived twice with him in the team. Perhaps even three times, if you consider Golden Cheese Cookie and Shadow Milk Cookie’s abilities upon losing all their health to be “revivals.” There are several powerful cookies you can choose to fight with in the arena of Cookie Run: Kingdom, but Awakened Pure Vanilla Cookie will be the backbone of a successful team.
